About Diane Clancy :

Greenfield, MA, US is my home. I create radiantly colorful paintings in digital and traditional mediums. My contemporary art is available on merchandise, as giclée reproductions, selected originals, and for licensing. I creates goddess images, paintings bordering between abstract and realism, and magical fun images. It’s all here for you to discover!

I create vibrant paintings that feature color and vision to inspire and uplift people. I feel very blessed to have this opportunity to express myself through painting. I love that people say my artwork enhances their lives. My use of color is my unifying theme across a wide variety of contemporary styles and mediums. Collectors have called my work poetic, whimsical, celestial, peaceful, serene, healing, fun, new age and thought provoking. My work ranges from goddess and visionary images to creative and unusual figures and landscapes. I have a line of imaginative fanciful animal images. My stunning series of bubblescapes will amaze you. I have many collectors from all walks of life including artists, animal lovers, military personnel, business people and spiritual people. Different generations, lgbt, farmers, doctors, scientists, teachers, factory workers and many others all love my work.

Open the Door to your Soul - Conundrum I is a painting that opens the door to the soul. This image looks deep within you and allows you to look within yourself. Conundrum I is a fabric and paint collage inspired by quilting. This rainbow colored woman’s face is created with alternating columns of fabric and acrylic paint, changing between light and dark. One column will go from dark at the bottom to light at the top and the next one will be the opposite. The face is painted with green, yellow, orange, red and violet. The strips made of fabric are created by cloth with the same color as the face so it is both seamless and separate. The woman’s face is actually a double face – the right side is stretched into a second face. The left eyes are jade with some lemon. The right set of eyes starts with crimson and moves into plum.

Her hair has 2 strips of emerald and purple. The rest of her tresses are little pieces of quilting fabric – white with gold, pink, magenta, fuchsia, lavender, coral and rose. The bottom part of this art consists of triangles of fabric – the bottom half of each tiny square has a blue, ultramarine or cobalt triangle, angled toward the middle of the artwork. The upper half of each little cube is either white or black fabric with flowers that match the color of the strip that piece of fabric is in.

Love and Mercy - Compassion for other people, the earth and ourselves is an important part of protecting the environment. One of the many bubbles in Compassion holds the purple face, with pink and red highlights, from Diane’s oil painting Mother Watching All. Mother Watching All is a painting that represents compassion and sorrow as the goddess watches over us. Gaze into Eternity - Anticipation is a painting that contains the faces of two women, joined together, who are gazing into eternity, looking past our right shoulders. Anticipation, with double faces painted in acrylics, fabric and paper, may transport you elsewhere into the Beyond. The double faces of yellow, maize, goldenrod and sunglow join in the middle and merge, sharing one eye in the center of their faces. Their eyes are various colors of green, forest green, dark spring green and navy blue. The background of their eyes are light spring green, lime, green-yellow and apple green.

This image may allow you connect with your deepest aspects and your spiritual journey. These yellow faces touch each other and merge, much as we all do in the cosmic composition of the Universe.
